Do you buy items outright or consign items?


We offer both and can discuss the options with you. Typically we accommodate the sellers' preference.


I have items to sell. What is the process?


Step One: Send Pictures of Items for sale

Email or text photos to us - click here to email

or use our phone number to text.

Step Two:  Initial assessment 

We review the photos and will let you know either way and schedule an appointment if we can help market your item for sale.


Don't hesitate to contact us if we have not reached out within 48 hours; sometimes, we might not get the email or text. We also make human errors.


Step Three: 

In-person appointment: During the meeting, we inspect each piece in person and discuss pricing, timing, and other details.


If sending photos is an issue:

Stop by with pictures on your phone/ tablet/ printed during regular business hours.

Is your house listed for sale, or have you recently purchased it? Please give us the address or MLS number. 

Have a neighbor give you a hand.

Let us know, and we will discuss the items you want to sell.


Can I stop by with the items I want to sell?

Please make an appointment first to make sure one of the owners is here. We would hate for you to make a trip, and we missed you. Send a text or email.


What do you buy?

Generally, we are looking for mid-range to high-end furniture and decor in very good to excellent condition. Styles that do well include coastal, tropical, and transitional. There are no hard and fast rules; we recommend and welcome you to send photos anytime. 


I have China/ Crystal, Collectibles, Household Items, etc.

Second Chance does not deal in these items. We recommend checking with our second business West Coast Auction Company if you have these items to sell.


Do you pick up items I want to sell?

Yes, we have pick-up services.


Do you have delivery?


We have delivery available, and if it is outside our abilities, we can recommend a moving service.


Is your inventory online?


We only post some of our inventory online. So if you are looking for something in particular, drop us a line, or better yet, stop by.


What is your return policy? 


We do not offer returns on furniture. However, we work with you on a case-by-case basis, and at our discretion, we may offer a store credit or other remedy.


You may return decor items within 15 days in their original condition.


What is your hold policy?


We are happy to place a hold for you until the next business afternoon. After that, if we do not see or hear from you, we will not keep the hold.


I want an item on hold.


If you are interested in an item on hold, we can call you if the item doesn't sell.


What is your storage policy?


We will accommodate you if possible, but we must make room for new arrivals.
